Founded in the nineteeth Century by an order of Catholic nuns the "Sisters of Our Lady of Charity" arrived in America from France. They were established in many cities throughtout the United States. The Convent building was ready for occupancy in 1898. It housed many young girls who later took up a respectable place in San Antonio Society.

Our hall is located in the chapel room on the second floor of the building, which was designed in a cross shape like the conventional churches or chapels of Europe. The Italian clay tile roof and tall Gothic windows make The Convent building an architectural masterpiece.
